Random Thoughts........

"Be yourself...everyone else is already taken"

I read this quote and it made me think of many things. I thought about how sometimes we want to be like someone we admire or sometimes even someone we envy. In the end you will ALWAYS go back to being yourself.....there is nothing wrong with that. You cannot be something or someone you are not. The only freedom is in being yourself.

Derailed by a four year old........

This morning started like many others....getting my kids ready and off to school. After dropping off my two boys my daughter decided we should get "biscuts & graby" from McDonald's...I said ok but we would have to go through the drive thru and still have time to get her to preschool...she did not like that idea and wanted to eat inside.

In perfect four year old fashion my darling daughter looks at me in the rearview mirror and says but mommy I have to go to the bathroom...hmmmm ok well guess we HAVE to go in I said (insert her dazzling smile here) we get in the bathroom which of course she did not have to go but since we were inside may as well quickly eat. We order our food and start eating when I see a Dad bringing his two sons in for breakfast. What I noticed first were the little boys curls...darling! My daughter was trying to get his attention since he was the only other little kid in there....when his Dad saw that he turned his sons wheelchair around and helped him wave to my daughter which thrilled her! At that moment what I noticed were his eyes.... He was beautiful.....my first thought was how much I would love to take his picture! :)

I sat there watching the love this Dad had for his son as he helped him eat his breakfast...the love was SO apparent it was really moving. So although I can be a shy person I decided to give him my card. That is when I was introduced to little Jack.....he is the same age as my daughter and adorable. I got to meet his little brother Charlie and his dad Mike. I got to hear a little bit of their story and I was captivated enough by this little boy to feel the need to write here. I hope his dad will not mind. :) I am at a loss as to what else to say except that you made me smile today so thank you!

My offer stands as I would love to photograph Jack and your whole family too.....just let me know. :)

Happy Friday everyone and for once I am happy my daughter just HAD to eat inside McDonalds today because if not I would have never met Jack. The following is a video for The Littlest Heroes Project that I belong to...please watch it and spread the word to anyone needing our services. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ry66VGCS6g
